Blue-footed Booby
I photograph nature for enjoyment, currently using a Nikon D800 along with a Olympus Tough TG4 for underwater (snorkeling) shots. If a photo doesn’t appear on these pages as it should, try reloading the page. Please contact me if you wish to use any of my photos.
I have led alumni trips for Hamilton College to the Galapagos (2001, 2016), Belize (2013), and Costa Rica (2019), and traveled on my own to Trinidad (bird focus), Belize, Mexico, Ireland, Barbados, Lower Rio Grande Valley (bird focus), and Baja California (whale focus)
For most pages, the photos should appear one at a time and rotate every 4 or 5 seconds. The pull-down menu under Views of Nature shows where I have become enthralled by the nature found in different places. Twitchell Lake (in the Adirondacks Mountains of New York) and Monhegan Island (an island off the coast of Maine) are special places.
In September, 2017, I started painting, too – with acrylics on canvas and then oils in 2018.
Professionally, I’m a butterfly ecologist. (thanks to Richard Scarry, I Am A Bunny, for this)
